This piece shows off a radiant summer green that's been herbal-dyed using all-natural ingredients by our green partner, Truetone Ink, as well as our signature mango leaf (or mangifera) print. Mangoes have always been a true summer symbol for us in India, and when they come into season, that's when summer truly begins. The pulpy, yellow fruit has a history in India that dates back to several million years and was first discovered (in fossils) in north-east India, Myanmar and Bangladesh, from where it traversed a journey down south. Today, it is beloved by many of us, holding fond memories of our childhoods and bringing the excitement of balmy summer days - it was the perfect print inspiration to be designed onto many of our pieces like this one.
